On good footing

These are the footers in Megaprojects, a book I designed on the topic of large construction projects. It is 515 pages and 15 chapters. The pages are 8"x10" with a narrow photo across the bottom of every page (1½" x 16" on the spread). I changed the photo in each chapter. Most of them, as you can see, are related to land transportation.

Here is a list of all of them, from top to bottom:

1. Opening spread of first chapter, showing the full size and layout of the page. The photo at the bottom is of the Galliard Cut (originally called the Culebra Cut) in the Panama Canal (series of photos forming a panorama view, from 1906)

2. Vasco da Gama bridge, Lisbon

3 and 4. Panorama of San Francisco, showng the Oakland Bay Bridge (far left of first photo) and the Golden Gate Bridge (right side of second photo)
